DUBLIN, IRELAND (October 7, 2025) Jentic, the AI infrastructure company powering the next generation of API-native business agents, has been selected as the first ever Irish company selected for the AWS Generative AI Accelerator (GAIA). Launched by Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), GAIA identifies top early-stage startups that are using generative AI to solve complex challenges and help them scale and grow. Participants in the program’s third cohort will access AWS credits, mentorship, and learning resources to further their use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies and grow their businesses.

Jentic’s selection follows a landmark year of momentum, including a $4.5 million pre-seed round in December 2024, which is one of the country’s largest for a software startup. The company has launched its Standard Agent, now in closed beta with its first Irish customer cohort, as well as major innovations such as its expansive API Catalog, the world’s largest Arazzo Catalog, the Arazzo Engine for executable agentic business logic, and managed execution and authentication to secure API use.
“We’re building the bridge between AI and the high-stakes digital infrastructure that enterprises run on,” said Sean Blanchfield, Jentic co-founder and CEO. “Being selected for GAIA validates our approach of building upon existing enterprise infrastructure to create a workflow-oriented agent sandbox and a safe on-ramp to secure and dependable agents in production.”
Blanchfield, a member of Ireland’s AI Advisory Council and one of the country’s most notable serial tech founders, co-founded Jentic with fellow serial entrepreneurs, Michael Cordner as CTO and Dorothy Creaven as COO, to solve the enterprise readiness gap in AI by building secure, standards-based infrastructure for API-based agent capabilities and workflows.
Jentic has also strengthened its leadership by bringing on globally recognised API experts, including the author of the seminal O’Reilly book on API enterprise management, the author of the Arazzo Standard, and core developers of the Swagger toolset.
The AWS Generative AI Accelerator kicks off on October 13th in Seattle and culminates with a global showcase to potential investors, customers, partners, and AWS leaders at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas from December 1-4.
“Whether it’s in biotech labs, creative studios, or industrial applications, the pace of generative AI innovation is extraordinary, and it’s happening everywhere,” said Sherry Karamdashti, General Manager & Head of Startups in North America at AWS. “This year’s cohort reinforces our mission to help that innovation move faster and deliver real-world impact for customers in every industry. We’re removing the barriers and accelerating opportunities so these leaders can grow their world-changing solutions.”

Ireland’s Momentum in Enterprise AI
As part of its early beta, Jentic has already onboarded a strong cohort of Irish companies testing its Standard Agent. With growing interest across sectors, Jentic’s recognition by AWS highlights Ireland’s emergence as a hub for responsible, operational AI adoption for enterprise.
"Jentic being accepted onto Amazon’s Global AI Accelerator program is further evidence that Irish AI startups stand shoulder-to-shoulder with innovators anywhere in the world, and that Ireland’s unique concentration of expertise and global technology make it fertile ground for fast-scaling domestic companies.” said Dr Patricia Scanlon, Jentic adviser and Ireland's AI Ambassador.
